Action Alert!!! REPORT Coastline Apartment Investors to 311 for multiple violations including raw sewage coming through the pipes and flooding into a basement apartment at 90 Downing Street. Support Grand Putnam Tenants Association!
Grand Putnam Tenant Association represents four rent-stabilized/rent-controlled buildings at 90 Downing Street, 29 Putnam Avenue, and 425 & 435 Grand Avenue located in the Bedford Stuyvesant/Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn,NY. Since 2015, tenants have been fighting evictions and tenant harassment from their landlord, Coastline Apartment Investors.
Tenants have reported various forms of harassment including the lack of heat and hot water in the winter; dealing with constant noise, dust and paint fumes due to round the clock construction; the illegal conversion of affordable units into luxury apartments; illegal rent overcharges; and using the NYPD to terrorize tenants and other residents in the neighborhood.
Just three months ago the ceiling collapsed in the lobby of 90 Downing Street. The following are just some of the current violations that the Grand Putnam Tenant Association want community members to report to the City of New York.

The need for an EPA investigation into raw sewage coming through the plumbing and flooding a basement apartment at 90 Downing.
The giant dumpster on the corner of Putnam Ave and Grand Ave that has been there for months.
The excavation under 435 Grand Ave for which there is no visible permit, causing tenants to be concerned that there will be damage to the building’s structure.
